The things you can do at the library…

If you’re interested in cooking, consider attending the next Instant Pot class. Last month, we made Chicken and Dumplings.  Attendance was great and everyone enjoyed it.  For the next class, we plan to make a dessert.  As soon as we’ve tested out a few dessert recipes we’ll be ready to share how we did it. Be sure and like our Facebook page, Locust Grove Public Library, for a date and time.  If you have a suggestion for a class, give us a call or send us a message on our page. We would love to hear from you.

Another thing you can do at the library is scan photos or whatever else you would like to digitally preserve. Last fall the library was awarded a grant to purchase a scanner.  We purchased one but it didn’t work as we had hoped. Luckily, we were able to return it and get one that we think will be a better fit for the library. Users have the option of scanning to a PDF, a searchable PDF, MP3, JPEG or PNG format. Scans can be saved to a flash drive, emailed, printed or faxed. Stop by some time for a demonstration.
