Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program 2022 is all about the “Oceans of Possibilities” solet’s get ready to dive into some books, collect some buttons, and gain some bounty!

  1. Register for the summer reading program at the Locust Grove Public Library.
  • Join us for the opening program at the library on June 14th at 6 pm and pick up your “Oceans of Possibilities” program kit with your reading log, bookmarks, and your first button all in a re-usable book bag. If you need a library card, you can get one that evening.
  •  Come to the library every week, at your convenience, for a fun activity, check out new books, receive tickets for the books you have read, and earn a new button.
  • July 21st, turn in your reading log at the front desk by the end of the day on to enter the drawing for most books read in your age group.

Age groups are: 3-4 years (our Storytime kids), 5-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, and 13 & up.

  •  Join us at the library on July 26th at 6 pm for the End of Summer Prize Party.  You won’t want to miss our special guest performer from Finer Arts of Oklahoma.

Prizes will be given to the top reader in each age group. Also, a winner will be pulled from each age group’s ticket jar. If you collect all the buttons each week, you will be entered into a drawing at the party, so be sure and bring all your buttons. Remember, the more books you read, the higher your chances of winning a prize!

*Storytime kids will earn their buttons and tickets during Storytime each week @ 11:00 on Thursdays.
